 Solemn Evensong

The Parish Choir will sing the office of Evensong under the directon of Dr. David Eaton.
Considered by many to be the crown jewel of Anglican worship, Evensong is a contemplative service consisting of Scripture readings from the Daily Office and choral music and chanted prayers, all graced by incense and the golden light of the late afternoon sun. Some of the finest compositions in English and American sacred music were written with services such as Evensong in mind.
Solemn Evensong is offered on the third Sunday of the month, September through May except when there is a conflict with other previously scheduled events.
